Types of Bets in Craps
There are several kinds of bet a player can make in order to win in craps. They can even use a combination of the bets. Below are the different kinds of bets in craps.
Fire Bet- The bet between one to five dollars is a fire bet. It is done hoping the next shooter will get a streak of setting and gaining several points whose values differ from each other. The fire symbol on the layout is used to mark the points gained by the shooter. The three points first made won't pay out on this type of bet. The fourth, fifth and the sixth point will pay out in an increasing order and odds.
The Pass line and the "don't pass" are the bets the shooter needs to make while the line bets are based on points. Pass line bet: This is a fundamental type of bet in the game of craps. It is also known as the win line in some nations. This is won if the outcome of the roll is either an eleven or seven but if the come-out roll is two, three or twelve, that bet will lose. If the come-out roll makes a point and the point is rolled once again, that bet will win. If the point has been made and the value of seven is subsequently rolled before another point is rolled, the bettor will then lose.
Don't pass bet: This is the bet opposing the pass line bet. It is the opposite of the pass line in that the bet loses when the outcome of the come-out roll is either seven or eleven. The bet wins if the come-out roll is three. The twelve or two will get a draw while the other one will win which is also dependent on the casino's rules but one thing is sure the player cannot lose if either twelve or two is the outcome. The draw of two or twelve is made to assure the casino still has the house edge whether or not the players win the "don't pass bet".
Pass odds bet: When the four, five, six, eight, nine or ten gets thrown as the come-out roll, the bettors of the pass line are permitted usually by most of the houses to take the odds by putting one to five times bet after the standard one. There are even some houses that permit players to make hundred bets. The additional bet gets to win if the point is re-rolled before the seven gets rolled. It pays at the genuine odds of two is to one if four or ten is the point, three is to two if five or 9 is the point established and six is to five if the point made is eight or six.
Don't pass odds bet: This bet is done by placing the chips behind line of the "don't pass", when the seven is made .The odds pay the same as the pass bet.
Come bet: The bettors' rules for this bet are the same as the pass line bet except they are only made after the outcome of the come-out roll.
Don't come: This is the opposite of the come bet. The bettor will come only on the next roll instead of the eleven or seven. When the point has been made, then it will not be rolled for one more time before the roll for the seven.
